DEDICATED TO LIZ HEZLOP
This page is dedicated to Liz Hezlop, who the dog world lost to cancer in 2001. She will be greatly missed, as she had become a fixture at The BCA Nationals every year.
Liz had been involved with Bulldogs for more than 40 years. Her love of this endearing breed has enabled her to put into verse, the antics that her own Bullies got up to over the years.
It seems like it was not that long ago that my wife, Pat, met Liz Hezlop. It was the 1997 Nationals in Pigeon Forge where the freindship developed. Pat's mom was from the UK and I would imagine that connection had something to do with
the friendship blossoming, as Liz resided in the UK also. Liz's love for rescue was well known. There was not a dry eye in the house at the 1998 Oklahoma City Nationals, when one of Liz's rescue poems was read at the banquet. My wife eventually started
selling ring clips representing all breeds of dogs. Thanks to Liz, Pat was able to make the connection with the distributor overseas. Pat was also attracted to Liz's poetry. Over a period of time, Liz sent Pat several different
pages of poetry. Liz gave permission for Pat to publish this poetry on our web site just as long as we gave credit to the author. All the poems printed here are true. She also requested that this poetry NOT be reprinted in any other manner. With that being said, please enjoy these poems,
tell your freinds about this page, but PLEASE DO NOT copy or reprint. THANKS LIZ FOR THE INSIGHT THAT THESE POEMS GIVE US!!!
