Gummy is the latest Rocket City Bulldog to head into the show ring. Her show career began in January of 2002 at Glen Rose Texas. Hopefully, she will follow in the footsteps of her daddy, BISS CH.Rocket City's Hakeem and her half sisters, Ch.Bullywood's Steel Magnolia, & Ch.DDT's Jackie Frost.

With that sweet movement and flashy red brindle/white coloring, we think the judges will see the same virtues that her breeders see. For a standard size bitch, she has excellent bone and wonderful depth of chest. Looking down from above, that classic "pear shape" becomes obvious. Gummy's rear angulation and turn of stifle are an improvement over her sire.

Movement is another strong point of our little girl. Clean moving in the front, with that sweet roll, makes Gummy hard to miss.

A few weak areas that we would like to see improvement in are her head size, width of jaw and "button-up".

This beautiful Bully girl was the brainstorm of Pat and Leigh Meeks. Her pedigree is a combination of Saltfork and Dingman lines. So far, Gummy has made their breeders proud with several nice placements in her first two months of showing. All of Gummy's placements have come from the Bred-By class before the age of 8 months. They include a 1st out of 6 in her ring debut, and then a 3rd and 4th out of ten entries at the Austin Bulldog Club Specialties in February. She has since won large Bred-By classes, with entries as high as 8.

On 2/24/02, in Houston Texas, Gummy wins the large Bred-By class(8), and goes on to go Winners Bitch and Best of Winners for a 4 point major!! The day before she was second in the bred-by class. Gummy has accomplished all this and is still only eight months old.

Today 3/10/02, Gummy was entered in the 6-9 puppy class in San Antonio. She was the only entry in her class, so it was an easy class win. She went back in the ring to compete for Winners Bitch, along with the other class winners. Gummy made out as the BIG winner, coming away with WB and BOS. The show was worth two points.

3/16/02--Another big win for Gummy!! By going WB, BOW's & BOS today, out of the Bred-By class, our young Bully girl won two more points toward her championship. This gives her 8 points now. She will be heading to Fort Worth, Texas this next weekend, where we can hopefully continue her hot streak.

7/21/02--It has been a long dry spell, but Gummy busted out in grand style this weekend at the prestigous Astro Shows. After starting out Friday with a 4th in the Bred-By class, then a RWB on Saturday, Gummy went WB & BOW'S for a 4pt major and then Best Bred By Exhibitor and BBBE group 2 on Sunday. This weekend was Pat's ring debut after a 4 month illness leave. It was also very exciting as Gummy had just gone through pyometra with prostglandin treatments just two weeks prior. A VERY special thanks to Leigh (co-breeder), for staying by Gummy's side through each treatment and hand feeding her when Gummy did not feel like eating. It was a team effort getting this beautiful girl in ring shape so quickly.

9/14/02---After coming so close to finishing last week in Mandeville LA, Gummy completes her championship, under Breeder Judge Steward Wagner in Tyler Texas, with a 3 pt major. During the past nine weeks, Gummy won a Specialty major RWB, several 3 pt. major RWB's, a 4 pt major RWB, along with her 4 pt major win. Congratulations to Leigh Meeks and Jerry Williams who are co-breeders of this sweet movin' girl.
